Prayer & Healing

A Message from Pastor Kevin Schuessler

Don't be deceived," Jesus' brother, James, warns.

"Every good and perfect gift is from above,

coming down from the Father" (James 1:16-17).

How easily we are deceived, thinking that God

tempts us or is responsible for this evil in our

lives!  We learn from Scripture that all evil, sin

and trouble comes from our own evil desires,

from a broken world and from the Deceiver.

But even more importantly, that every good and

perfect gift comes from our Heavenly Father!

He calls you and me the "first fruits of all he

created", the best of the best!  And the best gift we have is a renewed

relationship with the Father, because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, and the unstoppable hope that that relationship will just get better in eternity.

With that relationship, the Holy Spirit is now available and busy working to remake us, to attune us to Jesus' voice, and to help us receive the Father's love daily.

I’m so excited to help others "unwrap" these gifts God has for each of us, because of Jesus!  Would you like to join me?

Through a dream, the Lord gave instructions to offer "Drive-Thru Prayer" in our parking lot at 64th & Lyndale, in Richfield, Minnesota.

  • God said, "Freely you have received, freely give." (Matthew 10:8) He also said, "If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you," (Matthew 18:19 NLT)
  • So we decided to obey. We had signs made, set them up along busy Lyndale Avenue and we found out "if you do it, they will come!"
  • As we stand along the sidewalk, people wave and honk and others pull-in. Bikers, walkers, car drivers, taxi cabs, construction crews. Old and young. Men and women. Different faiths, ethnicities, and economic status. A dad pushing a stroller asks for blessings for his children. Men with upcoming job interviews request prayers for favor and blessing. A nanny with a child in her car stops, asking for prayer for the little one in the car seat. Wives pull in asking for prayers for marriage restoration. A grandma requests prayer for her granddaughter. Couples stop by asking for prayers for finances. Others request prayers for America. Still others ask for prayers of healing for family members. (This is just a sampling of the prayers that have been asked for).
  • By the power of the Holy Spirit, all conversations are God-given opportunities to share the love of the Father and the gift of the cross from His Son. What a blessing to witness the transformation in a person after prayer, after they've unburdened themselves and received God's complete peace!
  • Is God answering these prayers? Yes! Several people have stopped by to let us know the amazing answers they have received. Jobs, unexpected provision, restored health. How audacious God is! He is alive! He answers prayer! He answers the pleas and cries of his people!!
  • The prayers may be drive-thru, but God's answers are profound and eternal !!!
